Jenna was going to go to senior prom with her friend Madi, but then her mom grounded her and banned her from going to all senior year activities. So, honestly…shout out to Madi's mom for that.

Jenna was then just going to skip prom and read books at home because she's Not Like Other Girls, but Lacey (our Maid of Honor) had other plans. Lacey was in AP Physics with Liam and knew that he didn't have a prom date. She told Jenna that she could bring up the idea to him, but since Jenna and Liam didn't really know each other, Jenna said “absolutely not.”

It's a good thing that Lacey doesn't listen, because she did it anyway, and they ended up going to prom together. After much orchestrating, prodding, and puppeteering from their high school friends, they started dating the summer after graduation.

They dated long distance throughout college and stayed pretty committed to visits every 2 weeks. Jenna is grateful for all the ways her college friends accepted Liam, and that her Cal Poly visits could double as Lacey visits, too.

Liam also became like an older brother to Jenna's siblings. His bond with Nathan in particular is very special. In fact, Nathan, Erica, and Alden have only experienced life in the A.L. (After Liam) era.

After graduating, they moved up to the Bay Area in 2020 to start working. They now spend their time doing projects around the house, playing (or watching Jenna play) volleyball, and giving their cats Ori and Zelda the best lives possible.

Now, after many Tahoe trips, rounds of War Chest, and boba runs, they're ready to make it official and are excited to celebrate with everyone. 🙂
